The GRC provides a number
of services to help grandparents and other family members who
are raising children. These services give them the support they
need in raising the children in their care. We also help families
through the process of obtaining custody of their children placed
in foster care by social services.
About ninety percent of
children in foster care, are placed there against their wish.
Most of them run away from their foster homes, flooding the streets,
and involving themselves in crime.
Statistics show that seventy
percent of incarcerated citizens
are run-aways from foster homes.
The GRC has helped many families regain the custody of their
children.
In response to the needs
of our many clients, the GRC provides the following services:
Consultation on Legal Child
Custody/Visitation Issues
. . . which walks you through the
procedures for obtaining legal visitation and custody rights.
